CAMPING ON THE GRID
Camping at GRIDLIFE Summer Apex keeps you close to all the action and makes the weekend even more convenient. Wake up right near the track, enjoy the music and late-night hangs, and take in the festival vibe without ever leaving the scene. Whether you’re in a tent or an RV, staying on-site means you’re part of the community all weekend long. It’s the easiest way to make the most of everything GRIDLIFE has to offer.
Camping Event Access
Three components must be purchased to camp at Road America:
Weekend event ticket (for everyone 12+ years old)
Camping wristband (for everyone 12+ years old)
Campsite (up to 6/site including children under 12)
Camping General info
There are five permanent restrooms/shower locations are placed throughout the property, in addition to portable bathrooms and showers. Use of the showers is a complimentary service provided to event guests.
Eleven permanent concession stands plus additional food trucks serve delicious food and drinks at public events.
The facility is pet-friendly, but all pets must be on a leash and cleaned up afterward. Pets are not allowed in any Road America buildings or the Paddock.
All fires must be off-ground. Campers are welcome to bring portable fire pits and grills.
Canopies, Tents, and/or E-Z Up’s placed in spectator areas are not to block spectator viewing or to be left on the property overnight. Canopies, Tents, and/or E-Z Ups must be at least 10 feet from the fence and cannot be tied to any Road America property. Any tent left overnight will be removed by security.
No personal golf carts are allowed on Road America property.
TENT & CAR CAMPING
The car and tent camping areas at GRIDLIFE Summer Apex are perfect for keeping things simple while staying close to the action. These spots are open to tents, cars, and pop-up campers, giving you plenty of flexibility to set up your weekend basecamp. It’s an easy, laid-back way to dive into the festival experience—whether you’re kicking back with your crew or exploring everything happening on and off the track. No frills, no fuss, just a great way to stay connected to the GRIDLIFE energy all weekend long.
Tent & Car Camping Locations
Location: Zones 1-4
Site Size: 20′ x 40′
Amenities: Permanent restrooms/showers, concessions; no electrical or water hookups. Sites are marked and must be reserved in advance.
TRACKSIDE CAMPING
Trackside XL and RV camping at GRIDLIFE Summer Apex takes your weekend to the next level. These spacious sites are perfect for RVs, trailers, or oversized setups, giving you all the room you need to spread out and settle in. With options for electric hookups or no-electric sites, you can choose the setup that works best for you. Located close to the track, these premium spots keep you right in the heart of the festival energy while offering the comfort and convenience to make your stay easy and enjoyable.
Electric Trackside Sites
Location: Zone 5 (1101-1122) & Zone 6 / South of front straight grandstand and VIP tower, inside Turn 1
Site Size: 20′ x 40′
Amenities: Electric (50 amp); no water hookups; two dumpsites on the property; located on compact gravel.
Non-Electric Trackside Sites
Location: Zones 2-5 / Trackside areas around the track, 10 feet from trackside safety fence
Site Size: 25′ x 40′ or 20′ x 40′ (vary per location)
Amenities: No electrical or water hookups; two dumpsites on the property; grass areas.
These premium sites offer spectacular trackside viewing. Sites are marked and must be reserved in advance.
RV & XL CAMPING
RV and XL camping at GRIDLIFE Summer Apex offers plenty of space and comfort while keeping you in the heart of the action. These non-trackside spots are ideal for RVs, trailers, or larger setups, with options for electric or non-electric sites to suit your needs. It’s the perfect blend of convenience and festival energy, putting you close to all the racing, music, and community vibes. Whether you’re relaxing at your campsite or diving into the weekend fun, these spots make it easy to stay connected to everything GRIDLIFE has to offer.
Electric RV & XL Sites
Location: Zone 6 / Front straight south of the grandstand/VIP tower
Site Size: 20′ x 40′
Amenities: Electric (50 amp); no water hookups; two dumpsites on the property; located on compact gravel.
These sites are located on the front straight south of the grandstand/VIP tower. Sites are marked and must be reserved in advance.
Non-Electric RV & XL Sites
Location: Zone 2-5 & 8 / One row behind trackside motorhome sites at least 75 ft from safety fence
Site Size: 20′ x 40′
Amenities: No electrical or water hookups; two dumpsites on the property. Sites are marked and must be reserved in advance.
DAY PARKING
General Parking
General parking at Road America is free with the purchase of an admission ticket. General parking can be found in the majority of the grass areas across the property that are not marked as campsites or designated for vendors and competitors.
Preferred Parking passes can be purchased for all public racing events for the area near the VIP Tower. The Preferred Parking Pass allows for easy walk-in access to the paddock.
Corral Parking - Coming Soon!
We’re excited to announce that Corral Parking will soon be available at GRIDLIFE Summer Apex! This is a great option for car clubs and one-make groups looking to park together and showcase their rides in a dedicated area. Stay tuned for more details on how to reserve your spot or inquire about club-specific arrangements.
Preferred Parking - Coming Soon!
Preferred Parking passes will soon be available for purchase, giving you access to a prime location near the VIP Tower.
